Hi, I am Thibaut. I am the grandson of farmers who taught me to read the seasons, respect the earth, and understand that nature both owes us nothing and needs care. That same reverence eventually pulled me toward something vast and fascinating: the ocean.
It is majestic and scary, seemingly empty yet teeming with life both microscopic and immense. It humbles you with its scale and rewards you with beauty but you have to look beneath the surface.
All the pictures here have been taken by me and illustrate my love for the ocean.

I backpacked several months in Australia, drawn by the immensity of the ocean there. It's different. I lived at the pace of the sea and realized how vast, silent, and powerful this was. Australia taught me to see it differently.

Sabbaticals took our family across the South Pacific. What a ride! From French Polynesia to Samoa, Fiji, the Marquesas, the Cook Islands, Tuamotus and others: each island revealed a different shade of blue, a different rhythm of life shaped entirely by the sea. A fond memory for me is the 2 weeks spent on the Aranui, a vessel that connect Tahiti to the Marquesas.

In Southeast Asia, the ocean felt closer, more intimate. Warm waters, vibrant reefs, and the kind of diving where every descent feels like stepping into another world. Here the connection between the coastal communities and the sea is woven into everyday life.

Snorkeling and diving with my kids has been one of my greatest joy. Watching their eyes go wide behind the mask when they spot a turtle...what a gift!
Raising them with gratitude for the ocean, the way my grandparents raised me with gratitude for the land.

Big, calm, and utterly confident. They move through the ocean like they have nowhere to be and all the time in the world. Even other sea creatures seem to appreciate them.
Incredibly beautiful and quietly dangerous. Every spine, every stripe is deliberate, and a reminder that nature does not separate elegance from edge.
Oh boy. I'll always remember the first time I saw a manta ray. It came out of nowhere, flying with a majesty and peacefulness that stopped my breath for a few seconds. Pure, effortless grace.

The next generation carries it forward
The ocean does not care about us.
It's up to us to pay attention.
And when we do, it is amazing.
